Hanro of Switzerland
Hanro of Switzerland was founded in Switzerland in 1884. Hanro has since become a leading manufacturer of highest quality undergarments and sleepwear for men and women with an emphasis on comfort and classic designs.
Carefully selecting the finest natural fibers of cotton, silk, and Merino wool, Hanro knits its own creations. Hanro purchases untwisted long staple Egyptian cotton and mercerizes it, which gives it a shiny look, a silky soft feel, and long-term durability. Hanro’s mercerization process also preshrinks the fabric and locks in the color. The technique of circular knitting is used in Hanro’s cotton camisoles and underwear so there are no side seams.
Hanro blends wool and silk for an exquisitely warm and comfortable line of lightweight thermal underwear called “Warmwear”, available for men and in women in a variety of styles.
Hanro keeps pace with contemporary fashions by utilizing high quality man-made fibers such as spandex, viscose, synthetic stretch laces, and luxuriously soft nylon and polyester microfibers.
