BRA FITTING

For a correct bra fit follow these simple steps (ideally, someone should assist you): 

Step 1.
a. While wearing a bra, wrap a tape measure snugly, but not tightly, around your rib cage, under the bottom edge of the bra. 
b. Add 5 inches to that measurement to determine your bra size.

Step 2.
a. To determine your cup size, measure over the fullest part of your bust. 
b. The difference between this measurement and the size from step one will be your proper cup size. 

If necessary, round the Step 1 and Step 2 measurements to the next full inch, since the bra’s straps and back closure can be adjusted for the slight variations that can result.

Example:
Step 1.
a. Measurement around your rib cage (under the bottom edge of your bra) results in 29 inches. 
b. Add 5 inches to that measurement, resulting in a bra size of 34 inches (29" + 5")

Step 2.
a. Measurement over the fullest part of your bust results in 36 inches.
b. The difference between this measurement (36 inches) and the size from step one (34 inches) will be your proper cup size: 36” – 34” = 2 inches, which corresponds to a B cup. 

In this example, you should order a 34B for proper fit.

Remember, always round the measurements to the next full inch, since the bra’s straps and back closure can be adjusted for the slight variations that can result.

Some tips:

• Get into her closet or lingerie drawer and look at the tags.
• Ask a female friend or relative who knows her.
• Accompany her to a clothing or lingerie store; observe and listen closely, or call them later and ask the sales person who helped her.
• If you don't already know her dress size, or measurements, ask her (or a friend/relative of hers). With her dress size, or measurements, you can use the following chart as a guide:

The guide will at least get you in the ballpark. To play it safe, you may want to order something sized Small, Medium or Large (S, M or L), like panties and camisoles, instead of a bra.
